Tom Herzner (Kostja Ullmann) is attractive, glamorous and successful. He is Berlin’s most famous hairdresser and star of the gay scene. His cosmetic products conquer half of Europe – but only half, because so far he only sells shampoo for men. To completely open up the market, Tom has to figure out what women want. His field study takes him to the deepest Neukölln, the salon of the self-confident Heidi (Aylin Tezel). Kiez meets glamour – that can’t go well. Nevertheless, against his will, the imaginary Tom is deeply impressed by Heidi’s cheeky directness. And she soon discovers an astonishingly sensitive colleague behind Tom’s styled facade. As now? Does Heidi fall in love with a gay man? Tom himself doesn’t know what’s happening to him. A woman? What Tom and Heidi feel doesn’t fit into a drawer and Tom’s first attempts at walking in the world of heteros aren’t without complications.
